Peace that passes understanding
That’s what I need today.
The freedom from the doubt and worries
Which haunt my heart and drag me down.
The circumstances round about
Can make hope look like it’s gone.
But God is bigger and God is here
Never forsaking me in the thick of the battle.
Some days I just want everything to stop,
I am so very tired.
But Jesus picks me up and carries me
Reminding me I’m never alone and He is enough.
The days must be taken one at a time,
Each moment gets so small.
But that’s where we know Jesus
In the little moments of the daily hard of life.
Thank you, Jesus, for your peace,
Your hope, your joy, your love.
Without these things Life would be impossible.
The fight would be for nothing.
So, cast off the worry and the doubt,
Turn your eyes to Him.
He holds you and pursues you
With His never-failing, always-present love.
Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:6-7
