Do you see Him?
The compassionate One
Standing with you
As you face the unknown?
Do you hear Him?
Reminding you of who you are
Speaking truth
And comforting you when you cry?
Do you feel Him?
Carrying you through,
Being enough for the moment
And never forsaking you?
Do you see Him?
Stooping down in humility
Washing your dirty feet
To show His incredible love for you?
Do you hear Him?
Calling you to Himself,
Ready to gather you to Him,
Protecting you with His wings?
Do you feel Him?
Wrapping you in His love,
Holding you up through the waves,
Being the Faithful One?
Do you see Him?
Weeping with the grieving ones,
Reminding them He knows a thing or two
About loss and grief and pain?
Do you hear Him?
Calling you forward
With the tender voice of a Shepherd
Who knows His sheep by name?
Do you feel Him?
Filling up your empty,
Being all you need for this day
No matter what you face?
No, we don’t operate by feelings and senses of the natural all the time when it comes to our relationship with God. But your “soul senses” are developed as you grow in relationship with Jesus. He is faithful to remind you of the truth so that you can move through your unbelief to the faith He provides. I know I often struggle to remember that He is here, He is connected and He cares about me more than I could fathom. But we push through together and choose to focus on the truth about Him and His character.
Even if today you feel like none of the above could be true, will you ask Him to reveal it to you? Will you choose to look past the circumstances of the natural facing you today and look to the Faithful One for the supernatural work He is doing through His Life in you?
The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you. 1 Thessalonians 5:24
